Pros

Some very wonderful people to work with.

Cons

This is a BIG cautionary "con". This is the only company I know of where you can have an immediate supervisor as software engineer that does not have a development background. This is not a situation you want to be in. The lack of trust is debilitating. The one star ratings are due to this situation. This creates a lot of anxiety so that is why life/work balance is one star. Career opportunities are one star as in this company everything is controlled by your immediate supervisor. Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you giving us the opportunity to read through the experience you had with your PTL. We constantly evaluate our hiring and promotion practices in Product and Tech. At PCTY we value developer experience and believe that is an important component of leading software engineers if hired externally. We also believe that positions outside of developers can lead software engineers with the right training and coaching as we want to encourage career growth from all areas of Product and Tech. We will continue to evaluate our processes and appreciate the time you took to give feedback.

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

Teammate relationships during difficult days.

Cons

Paying out executive bonuses and Sr leaders while mid-level and lower employees had their bonus removed and their stock options taken away. This company is the epitome of making the rich richer while allowing the employees who are busting their bottoms to drown without monetary compensation. It was heartbreaking for me to see my team unable to receive any bonus monies while our executives received millions even though the decision they made resulted in the stock price dropping by over $100.
