Pros
Working with fellow pages in a nice environment where you are not being watched by the supervisor who shows up unexpectedly to see if everyone is where they are suppose to be and doing their job. The position is really not rocket science. The manager equips you with everything you need to know in order to get your job done.
Cons
This is a worker mentality not an owner mentality place of work If you go out of your way to get something done instead of getting a "Thank You" you will be admonished about it. A page is expected to do their job and only their job and nothing else! Government worker mentality, only do the bare minimum! This is what's expected out of you! They suck your soul out in this place. Horrible place to work!! Pages are treated very poorly almost looked down upon. The non-page staff and support staff are downright rude and will not acknowledge your presence. They hardly ever greet the pages. In fact they act as though their jobs are more important then pages. The reality is that if pages did not do their jobs well the library system will not be able to function. At this location it's downright hostile environment for the pages. Being talked down to pages, or loudly and insolently communicate with them is almost always daily practice by the support staff!!
