Excellent internship experience with P6! - Graphic Designer Particle6 Productions Employee Review

Pros

I worked as a Graphic Design Intern starting in June 2022 and finished with P6 in early March. Salaries are paid on time every month and the boss is very nice. Due to P6's remote working method, I find this intern quite easy to handle. The design work ranges from designing the layout of pitch presentations, social media banners, and title cards for the post-production team etc. It is quite interesting when you work as a designer not for a design company but for a film production company. Cause when there comes a shooting day, you can join on-site and meet with colleagues. I haven't done any work in person during this internship. Overall, this internship provides me with a multi-disciplinary approach to my professional learning and design with TV, entertainment, and advertising. Excellent experience with P6!

Cons

There is nothing for me to complain about.

Pros

Working for and with the Founder/CEO, Eline, was a great experience. I found her to be receptive to feedback with a vision for where she wanted to take the company. She demands excellence - attention to detail and professionalism. The team at the time was small, nimble and scrappy. And, nice to to work with! Lots of opportunities to pitch ideas and take ownership of tasks and projects. Work/Life balance was attainable, which isn't true at most places. Given the circumstances (fully remote, COVID, being an Indie ProdCo without the resources of bigger companies), P6 definitely punched above its weight. I liked that ideas were welcome from even the most junior staffers.

Cons

Being fully remote during COVID was tough. This seems to have changed since then. The pay wasn't the best, but you don't go work for an Indie ProdCo for money.
