Pros
Working on the lot is great-- it makes you feel like you are really a part of "the business" seeing production happening and walking by historic sound stages and buildings. As for the day to day work of home entertainment its similar to other studios; however since the department is integrated with theatrical marketing there's more access to publicity opportunities and more chances to sell product earlier in the movie's lifecycle-- probably more so than any other major studio.
Cons
The majority of Paramount's catalog product is distributed by Warner Brothers which limits opportunities with key retailers and operations have been outsourced to Universal which makes tight deadlines even more challenging.
