      Pros

      Pay. When you get a permanent post. Good hours and holidays off. Union helps.

      Cons

      Everything else. Management doesn't back you up. First instinct of the company is to suspend you for several days. When they find you did the right thing they send you back to work no back pay.

      Its federal contract work, so the benefits aren't great.

      It's hard to get a good shift that works for you because it's based on seniority.
