Pros

Good work life balance - don't worry about getting calls at 11 pm on a Saturday to hop on and work for 4 hours Improved benefits - Paradigm has really stepped up its game in this regard within the last year or two. Plus you're not discouraged from using your PTO. Flexible work schedule and location - Have a doctor's appointment on a Thursday morning? No problem! You can make up those hours on a different day and won't be guilt-tripped into repeatedly pushing off those important appointments. Wanna visit family members in a different state for an extended stay? Get approval to pack up your laptop and work from anywhere and combine it with PTO to enjoy some personal time.

Cons

Opting for new hires vs climbing up the ladder - I've noticed a large trend of opting to hire out for management roles rather than allowing employees to move up. Just pointing out that I'd like to see more opportunities for front line employees with product experience to move up into management roles rather than hiring out someone completely new. Lack of competitive pay - It's been said before but this seems to be decreasing every year. I've noticed a major shift in competitive pay and roles within the last two years or so, especially in software and tech roles.

Pros

A Really great, relaxed culture. Understands value of remote work. Work life balance is a core value as far as I can tell. Paradigm has one thing that very few companies have which is they do genuinely reward and recognize people who put effort forward and care with further opportunities and compensation.

Cons

The pay is middling for this type of job but the low level of stress + culture of rewarding effort can mitigate that. Raises are not amazing but if you shine you can get promoted to a better role and pay bracket.

Pros

Company culture as a whole. Many of the long time employees are recognized and valued greatly by management and HR.

Cons

A lot of changes quickly that will most likely come back and bite them. New leadership is so AI and technology focused that they are skipping crucial steps. Tons of restructuring and getting rid of quality people because they staffed them in roles that they seem "redundant" now.
