Pros

Learn a lot, get to work alongside some very smart people!

Cons

I do not recommend working here. The overall work environment —regardless of team or client placement — fosters a culture of relentless hustle that leads to extreme burnout. Leadership, particularly the partners, set unrealistic expectations, demanding inhuman turnaround times with little to no appreciation for employees' hard work and dedication. This toxic culture trickles down throughout the organization, creating an atmosphere where fear and pressure drive every day interactions. Employees are often left feeling undervalued and micromanaged, which leads to a very stressful and hostile team dynamic. Instead of collaboration, the environment fosters edginess and strange internal competition, making it difficult to thrive. Communication is another major issue. Nearly everything is run through Slack, creating disorganization and inefficiency. Important messages often get buried, making it hard to respond quickly. Additionally, small mistakes are often publicly called out in front of peers and leadership, leading to a culture of shame rather than growth. Beyond the high-pressure environment, the company’s culture leans heavily into traditionalist and exclusionary ideals, which may feel alienating for those who don’t align with the majority perspective. Given the low pay, extreme workload, and lack of work-life balance, I would strongly advise exploring other opportunities before committing to this organization. The stress and burnout simply aren’t worth it.

Pros

- team members are great and honestly make the work environment more tolerable each day. - snacks and the office in general are good and it’s located in an accessible, central location. - resume builder - located in the heart of Arlington(Clarendon )

Cons

- unreasonable urgency with made up deadlines that make teams stress and stretch themselves thin over simple tasks. - very low compensation that doesn’t correlate to the demands and pressure of the job. - under qualified and unprofessional management that constantly hold their positions and experience at the firm over you like a guillotine. - you will require a regular rotation of medication just to keep your mental health balanced on twigs. The chronic stress and and toxic work culture are unsustainable and continue to go unaddressed. - luckily I wasn’t in admin, but they really need to do something about the way that they treat the assistants. Not sure how much they’re paid, but they often had to deal with so much. People at the firm constantly made them do the simplest of things like cleaning up trash in conference rooms, while being perfectly capable of doing so themselves. I felt so bad for them since they received multiple requests a day from me and many others, yet were under appreciated along with managers condescendingly looking down on them(often gossiping about them) while demanding the most. - don’t even get me started on the partner pleasing culture. There is no opportunity for open discussion between executive management and the rest of the firm(even if they try and make it seem like it). - for your sake, unless it’s a last resort, do not apply here or work here.
