Pros
Easy to come in as new grad RN - only because they're desperate. Everyone knows this place is only meant to get your experience in
Cons
This hospital is stuck in the 80's. Paper charting, no pyxis - you pull medications from a cassette and drawer. Doctors don't put in orders, YOU the RN is expected to input orders for them, no transport team so you push your own bed, no CNAs you are primary RN for the entire shift, charge RNs are new grads with less than a year experience. No cafeteria discounts, Doctors don't speak English and would yell at you if you ask them to repeat themselves. YOU will be stretched thin here. On top of all that? You're getting paid LESS THAN $30 An hour. And this is experienced pay! Working at a SNF pays better than this 'acute' care hospital
