Pros

Great pay, nice raises every 6 months for the first 3 years (also cost of living increases every year), great benefits, decent training and and approachable management. Always someone around to help you out if you get a tough call. TONS of voluntary OT in the call center if you want. You can work 12 hr shifts everyday if you are up for it. Opportunity for advancement is there if you show up on time and put forth some effort. Catered lunches pretty often. Friendly co-workers. Relatively easy job once you understand the policies, procedures and computer systems.

Cons

The job itself is VERY monotonous/repetitive/soul crushing and some days can be downright insane with call volume, but that's to be expected when working in a call center. If there is a bad storm, expect to work mandatory 12-16 hr shifts until call volume comes down. (PECO does provide food and also hotel accommodations if you can't make it home). Can be stressful at times since you are tracked down to the second and expected to perform at a certain level. That is not to say the metrics are impossible to meet, but everyone has off days and that should be taken into consideration. Computer systems seem EXTREMELY outdated and unnecessarily confusing for such a large company. Cubicle life is depressing. Too many useless corporate emails.
