Saddled with mistakes from the past - Consultant PDI Software Employee Review

Pros

The company culture is generally pretty great, if you are in one of the main offices specifically Temple, TX where the main original campus is or Alpharetta, GA headquarters where the c-suite is located. Engagement with employees was decent, and the company is growing rapidly. The legacy of PDI is one with great tradition and a tight knit "family" attitude.

Cons

PDI was bought out by private equity within the last two years or so and since then has been actively acquiring similar tech firms in the downstream petro space. So much so that the DOJ had to make sure everything was above board. That is all well and good, but the number of software offerings is bloated, and the company culture has soured over the last year. Engagement with employees seems to be lacking in the last 6 months and legacy engagements are not being given the appropriate attention and are under some serious risk. There was some turn over and most of that was voluntary, but one un-publicized layoff occurred. I personally think they expanded quicker than realistically they should have and am concerned about the culture and general financial stability of the company. Additionally if you are currently on one of the software platforms that is not the "Go forward" software in that area, you sort of feel stuck there. The room to branch out into other areas feels stymied.
