Pros
Uncapped earnings. Freedom to go wherever you please in California. Competitive environment and very lenient managers/owners.
Cons
You start the day out on a deficit, I E having to pay for your own gas in the company vehicle as well as paying to "rent" the van. As of January 2022 the amount to rent the company van is $40 in addition to whatever gas you'd like to put in. As I stated in the pros section, you do have the ability to stay local (Fresno CA) as not waste money on gas. However if you'd like to venture out of the city you're looking at starting at a deficit of either $60-$80 depending on how you plan your day and where you decide to go.
A big con I would point out the fact that they hire anybody. Ex-convicts, drug addicts, or really just anybody desperate enough to work. I've seen hundreds of dollars worth of items stolen. iPhones, backpacks, the company's product, cash they receive on the route and countless others. If you can sell a lot of product the owners/managers won't even bother you. Normally in a general work environment that makes sense, however when employees are driving around high on drugs or stealing from the company it did make me question who I work for and what the company even stands for.
There is no payroll system implemented. None at all. You are essentially banking on the good nature of the owners/managers to pay you out what you are owed. If there happens to be any discrepancy in the pay or timeframe in which you are paid there is nothing you can do about it as you are not technically working for the company. This means they are free of liability from any accident you get into or any medical costs associated with that accident as you are not technically working for the company. Not to mention the nature of under the table paid jobs. They can fire you at a moments notice and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.
