Pros
The people - in recent years the company has attracted lots of highly motivated and energising people. This makes it a really motivating place to work. People here want to work hard and help students whatever their background. The feedback from clients, students, teachers and parents is very positive - and everyone comments on the energy of the place when you walk in. This is definitely not the company for you - if you want to moan about having to work for a living! The ability to take on lots of responsibility. It's a company where if you work hard, you'll be rewarded. There is no bureaucracy and weekly team breakfasts mean you stay on top of what is going on. There is a very open culture. The chance to partake in a diverse amount of work - from marketing, events, working with schools... to liaising with clients and general business operations. It is a place where you can really learn a lot about the business. The company really wants to make a difference - and everyone who works here wants that too.
Cons
There is lots to do. It's a small dynamic team but one that always wants to go that extra yard... that's why sometimes the hours can be longer than normal... but then you head to a school event or one of the public events and you see that it is all worth it. Like many a small company, there is less structure and some people just cannot function without structure. I personally loved that - as it meant you could take on more work and not be stuck in one department - but some people might not enjoy that. Your role can be more generalist than specialist - which I personally loved but again some people might not.
