I joined this company and noticed that in the beginning, they strongly supported development within the company.
However, after climbing a few steps internally, I could see how lost the leadership team was. The Software Director is a very intelligent guy and great at what he does, but the people right below him are so lost they look like they’re in the middle of a shootout blindfolded. My theory that there are some “favorites” was confirmed after reading some comments here. It’s very noticeable there.
People with very low technical knowledge or with little to no understanding of IT technologies are in high positions. It makes no sense.
And as mentioned here in some comments, they did indeed acquire a Mexican company, and the justification was that they wanted to focus on the LATAM market and that everyone was safe. This speech continued for about three years, saying everyone’s jobs were safe… But every time a layoff happened, the CEO would come and say the same thing… and more layoffs kept happening… So it was pure nonsense.
