      Pros

      To volunteer with an organization where you can positively affect the lives of others is very rewarding and fulfilling.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, the management of the facility does not share the same viewpoint. Theirs is focused on attracting new donors and generating positive feedback throughout the media so as to expand/enhance their reputations (and future opportunities) in the marketplace.

      If you like helping people and knowing that your work will help those who are less fortunate, then this is the place for you. Also good with hiring internally and job opportunities even outside your department.
