Pros
I have worked in a few environments through out my career and OPG has some great people who work for the organization top to bottom. Some very smart and kind mannered people who genuinely care about others and also care and have passion to work for an organization that generates safe, clean, reliable low-cost power for people of Ontario. OPG is a very safety conscious environment and seeing other employers out there who aren't, makes me proud to work for an organization that cares about its people and commitment to having a safe and responsible operation. OPG offers opportunities internally to advance your career and the work is challenging and very rewarding. You can understand why so many people have had amazing and rewarding careers at OPG. I also feel that from a compensation perspective OPG is fair and aligned with the market. Overall a great place to work, great organization to be part of.
Cons
I can't say there is really any con's. I will comment that the CEO who is shown here on glassdoor is not the active CEO. Our active CEO Jeff Lyash is an amazing innovative leader and this needs to be updated. The business is going through changes as a lot of other organizations are to take our culture to the next step to allow the business to further improve and grow. This requires commitment from everyone (top to bottom) to see changes towards the desired culture. I mainly feel and see changes taking place to improving processes, operations, technology and systems.
