Pros

Excellent team environment and culture. Love the remote environment and the ability to thrive with work-life balance.

Cons

Training is absolutely abysmal! You are only left with one person to train you however half-ass they like, then they hand you HUGE HIGH TOUCH clients knowing that you are unprepared for such. Internal departments seem to clash with each other's statements and may often seem like none of us know what we're doing to the client. That's because most of the new employees are all trying to figure out everything on the fly mostly. We are told to ask questions, most of which go largely unanswered, much to the detriment of the client's program's success, and the client relationship as a whole. Then you get blamed for it as if it is all your fault. Makes you wonder if they even wanted you to succeed at all. Makes you wonder if you were just a temporary hire just to temporarily comply with DE&I requirements, only to fire you in 6 months, right when they promised you everything will "start to make sense". Any program/interface/platform that takes 6 months to learn should let you know that there is a SEVERE lack in training.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback about your experiences working at Onbe. While we are pleased to hear your positive account of our culture and working environment, we also appreciate your thoughts around onboarding and training. We have also identified this as a needed area of focus and have several 2023 initiatives running right now around knowledge management and onboarding - in fact our new Onbe 201 program is focused solely on ensuring a smooth, quick and targeted ramp up for our new hires.

Pros

There are some good people at this company. Hybrid 2 days in the office if you live near the office, but can work fully remote if you’re not near an office. Also, free lunch when in the office.

Cons

A once great company has turned into something I don’t recognize anymore. They’ve let go long many tenured employees that have made employees scared of losing their jobs. Great talent eventually leave once they see how awful the Leadership is and how unorganized this company is. They make drastic changes for the sake of change. They are scared of clients and do not back their employees. The CEO seems clueless to what’s going on within the company. Leadership hire friends for other leadership roles and they are not trained on processes or how things work. Teams are not aligned, people are unprofessional, it’s very chaotic, there’s too many chefs in the kitchen, and leadership waste time with useless meetings that take you away from your work. We seem to have many job openings that look great but trust me, it’s not worth it. I’ve had many people ask me about Onbe because they are thinking of applying and I tell them not to. So please don’t waste your time. Most people here are actively looking for new jobs.
