      Poor environment for sales professionals - Sales Associate OceanTech Employee Review

      Pros

      Oceantech has a handful of nice people to work around and sales professionals receive a personal cubical.

      Cons

      CEO is friendly and helpful to new sales hires for a month then micro manages them weekly with negative meetings - sales team is unhappy and turnover will be a common theme - I suggest you contact former Oceantech sales professionals to get their opinion before making a mistake...it will be worth your time.

      Thank you for your feedback and review. All OceanTech employees are given initial goals when hired based on discussions during the interview. OceanTech believes in open and honest communication with all employees, which weekly sales meetings allow for. If at any time an employee is not sure of their goals or tasks, we hold an open door policy for all employees. Terms of employment are always pre discussed in any offer letter we send out.       Pros

      nice environment! flexible and understanding bosses! lots of room for growth, and performance well rewarded!

      Cons

      Though a smaller company (around 50 people), some things that require change still take longer than they should. This is annoying, but eventually it does get done and the improvement is good and well rounded. They really like initiative... so if you are doing a good job but just hanging around hoping people will notice and praise you... i mean it DOES happen, but if you want the attention you have so speak up - conversely (since this is the "cons" section), if you do, and you are in fact doing well you WILL be rewarded.

      None. This place is terrible

      Cons

      Run by 2 brothers who think they are hot stuff because they run a company. They have no idea what they are doing at all. Not a good place to get experience
