Pros
The city of Oberlin is very quaint and nice. The students are exceptionally fun to work with and are very inspiring!
Cons
There is very low morale at Oberlin College. I left 2 years ago and everyone I was close with has either left the college within the last 2 years or is in the midst of leaving. The pay at the College has a lot of discrepancies and there is evidence that men are paid significantly lower than women. The culture is pretty miserable and everyone feels jaded by the slashing of retirement and benefits, the low salaries, the evening and weekend hours, and the lack of general honest appreciation from the college. Oberlin unfortunately rests on its laurels from the amazing work it did decades ago and has since been lost to the old ways of operating.
