Pros

Nice members. Cool co-workers. Good hours for the time being.

Cons

There was no limit on how many kids could come in at once, so things would get overwhelming very quickly. Also to add there were a max of 3 teenagers working at once with up to 20 kids. All ages from 12 weeks to 12 years old. Good concept but poor execution.

Pros

Great atmosphere, supportive management, and ability to grow professionally.

Cons

Not many downsides. The only reason I left was because I was moving with my partner - I was very sad to leave.

Pros

Free gym membership Flexible schedule (for the most part)

Cons

The pay is extremely low especially after taking away salary. I have found myself in a situation where I had to choose between seeing a doctor or being able to afford groceries that week. They really should be giving trainers a base salary plus commission. The standard of living is way too high to survive on a low commission rate. The benefits were also terrible. You don't make enough to have a 401K so don't get your hopes up for that. The insurance was bad and I only received 10 days of PTO per year that I couldn't take because I was afraid to lose the money I would have made off of commission (which was more than I would have received if I had used my PTO). They don't seem to care about the well-being of their employees. Equipment breaks often and does not get fixed quickly. The AC has been out in my gym for 2 months and they seem to be twiddling their thumbs. Members complain daily about it.
