Pros

Mine is a lengthy review but might help you to know why I chose Nyolus as it may not be the right place for all but can be a heaven for someone like me. Also, this is my own assessment as an employee, and no one asked me to write a review for Nyolus. I joined Nyolus as a fresher, and yes, I am the youngest computer scientist and manager at Nyolus for little less than 2 years. I am a permanent employee for 15 years (till September 2034, auto-renewal after that) with guaranteed salary, benefits, and no firing from Nyolus. Only scientists and exceptional performers get this option but even otherwise, Nyolus does not fire employees except for plagiarism or when they take the job for granted. I have medals and rank certificates (VTU) in my academics, and quite good at English. As a fresher with a stellar academic record, I got many offers from startups and MNCs but rejected them since one of my lecturers had advised that if I want to become a good coder and work on R&D from day-one and not end up in a tech support job after 6-month mystery in a fantasy island, then I should work for a GOOD startup. While I was hell-bent to work for a startup, the big problem I faced was to find the one that is good and then the type of job they do, not the other way. I used to see Nyolus ads (they run 365 days a year) but no reviews on glass door or anywhere. Decided to give it a try. Getting an interview at Nyolus is 100% guaranteed (careers@nyolus.cloud) but passing is not. 9 of us attended the interview at Indiranagar office but I and another person were shortlisted for final interview with the director. I saw only 4 employees in an office that can fit over 60, but learnt that employees can work from anywhere to connect to Nyolus global R&D labs. The director was sitting in front of 3, 32 inch monitors, asked me to come in and sit, and told he is running a cloud network of over 2700 virtual computers that he showed to me. Looking at my curiosity, he also showed how a customer can create and delete virtual computers (call it laptops), servers, e-Commerce websites, etc., in just minutes, and then he let me create a virtual computer and an e-Commerce website right in the middle of the interview. The virtual computer works just like a real laptop computer, but you cannot touch or feel as it is stored just like a word file in their cloud. Yes, a computer itself stored as a file is very hard to imagine right? He said basically the technologies that Nyolus is building will make physical laptops, desktops, website designers, mobile apps designers, e-commerce designers, IT hardware and service professionals obsolete. Looking at his passion for R&D of such mind blowing technologies, and learning he is not only the chief scientist of Nyolus but also a former ISRO scientist (lives in the USA), I was blown away and felt that a fresher like me or for that matter 99% of technical experts of big companies will not even get a chance in our lifetime to use cloud, let alone designing them! Most of all, working for an ISRO scientist who gave us original Indian satellites is a dream come true, and hence started praying to pass this interview. Fast forward, I did very well in the interview that lasted just 45 minutes. The interview was technical but only on what I had stated in the resume, absolutely nothing else. The director said I am selected but I would be evaluated on the job by a team of scientists for a week to decide on my role and the salary. My work started the very next day, and well, here I am now. In less than 2 years, I have become the youngest scientist and manager, my English has improved exponentially, developed a trade secret, submitting a US patent soon, and have become an inventor. Also, I make all hiring decisions for my team with no override from management once I decide to hire someone. BTW, at Nyolus, scientists have lot of powers. Only a scientist can become a manager of a team, and it is a done deal once he/she decides to hire someone. Regarding benefits, Nyolus has Pay for Performance (PFP) policy with unlimited promotions, increments, and bonuses in a year. No other company that I know of has this kind of policy. As for the pay, Nyolus pays on the dot as they are financially very strong and have guaranteed resources to pay their employees. Finally, this is what my take is without any bias. Nyolus is a 10000% cloud R&D company. Even HR and Admins are exceptional coders and technical superstars at Nyolus. It is not just a cloud user company that we all know of. When someone says he/she works on cloud, they mostly use cloud services to build applications but they don’t design the cloud itself for global IT consumers unless they are working for one of around 2000 cloud service provider (CSP) companies on earth that includes Nyolus. So, if you are really good at technical, have passion for cloud/IT research and coding, and like to see how people all over the world use the cloud you design sitting right on your kitchen table, then look no further. I guarantee you will be in 7th heaven if you get a position, especially scientist position, at Nyolus. However, If you prefer only tech support or call center jobs, then please do not apply to Nyolus as it automates such jobs not only for them but for other companies as well. Is Nyolus the best place for you? You decide.
