Pros

It's great to work on projects that I know make a difference, whether that is life-saving search and rescue operations, airborne law enforcement or military technological advancement, everything we do is focused on keeping you, me and our loved ones safe. The professional development allowance means that you are in charge of your development journey, as opposed to a manager who owns a centralised departmental budget. This ensures everyone has the same opportunity to grow in a manner they wish.

Cons

The flexible working policy enables everyone to work in a manner that they prefer, this does sometimes mean that offices can be quite quiet, but team mates and colleagues are always available via teams or call where required. So if you enjoy a "buzzy" office environment, as opposed to flexibility, this could be a "con".

Thank you for sharing your experience, it’s great to hear that the purpose-driven nature of our work resonates with you. At Nova Systems, we’re proud to contribute to projects that help make the world safer and more secure. We’re also glad our Professional Development Allowance is supporting your growth. Empowering our people to take charge of their development is a key part of our culture. We recognise that while flexibility offers many benefits, it can sometimes mean quieter office environments. We will continue to explore ways to balance flexibility with opportunities for in-person collaboration and connection. Thanks again for your thoughtful review and for being part of Nova’s journey. Your insights help us grow and improve Jo Barker, NSI TA Business Partner

Pros

Flexible working and a lot of trust to manage your own time. Good salary sacrifice pension - matched 8.5% contribution. Varied projects to work on along side the day to day. Development Allowance £3000 and extra leave days to study or attend industry conferences - you can invest in your career and really drive its direction. Frequent recognition for doing a good job - managers do say thank you here. Open to new ideas - budgets sometime limit this however always open to how we can do things better. Caring people - lots of support. Global company - collaborating with colleagues in Australia / Singapore New Zealand / Ireland Hybrid working - most of us do 2-3 days in the office or at client site.

Cons

UK Offices can be very quiet; some days you cant get parked other days are very quiet (If you need a busy bustling office every day then Nova is not for you.) Promotional opportunities are limited in a smaller company, but it doesn't limit developing your skills and experience for which you will be recognised.

Pros

Good people in the organisation

Cons

Change of company direction leaving people a little unsure of the future, especially with such a new Executive board steering the company
