Despite the awards and accolades, this is no longer one of Atlanta's "best places to work" speaking from an IT engineering perspective. At one time prior to late 2019 I would have argued it really was. As of Jan 1 2020 a completely new management structure has been implemented from the low level team leads all the way to the CIO. With it, came a shift in culture and management styles. Micromanagement, a hostile, un-trusting work environment, the classic "boys club" mentality at the top and a general aura of "engineers are expendable and a dime dozen" seem like the new norm. I'll stress again that prior to 2020 I would have recommended IT at Northside to anyone. As an engineer, your opinions will no longer be heard, you will not be included in high level technology decision making, and you will spend more of your time filling out productivity spreadsheets than you will actually building or fixing.
