Pros
I have had a great experience working for Northstar. I enjoy the camaraderie and teamwork with fellow employees as well as the casual dress code and environment. They oftentimes will show appreciation to their employees in the form of outings and lunches. The PTO offered is great as well as incentives they give to employees that have been there long term. The technology has advanced so much since I started, that it has allowed me to take on a larger amount of clients and keeps me challenged, while also allowing me to work independently for the most part. There are great opportunities for advancement if you are willing to put in the hard work, and management encourages you to keep looking for the next step in your career.
Cons
The hours you put in during month end and quarter end can sometimes be daunting, but has greatly improved as the technology has improved and will just continue to get better I believe. Not being able to take vacation during those times is a negative for me, but the hours are flexible the rest of the year.
