Benefits are nothing to brag about. The claim system is ancient, difficult to navigate and have been announcing a new system ready any day now for over 5 years. There are way too many departments involved in a single claim, so accountability falls on no one. If the data entry department makes a mistake, the data correction department will fix it. Someone else will give you the policy and hope it’s the correct one but it might not be. Maybe there will be a policy feed, and you hope the feed is working but don’t bet on it. Another department will assign outside vendors, and yet another department will stage payments on a claim they know nothing about. Your only goal is to complete the metrics and diaries, which gives the adjuster the power to never have to think about anything ever. The potential and probability of mistakes on a file are astronomical. They have no problem taking auto PD adjusters and moving them to a new GL injury team with no experience and no training.
