Pros

Pay is ok, but not worth the stress that comes with working for NordCloud.

Where to start on this complete ****show ? NC has no customers of it's own and lives off of table scraps handed down by the parent company, IBM. Obviously, this work is neither innovative or interesting as IBM want to keep that for themselves. The relationship with IBM can only be described as antagonistic and unlikely to change any time soon. Revenue is down year on year and attrition is at an all time high both from redundancies and people leaving for greener pastures. All of management's conversations are only about financials and it's clear that it's the bottom line that they care about and not growing a business or the employees in the business. Anyone who's left is either a shell of themselves or is absolutely cutthroat and ruthless and only looking out for their own interests and won't be afraid to backstab a co-worker. Management retaliation is also a very real issue. Management is very hands on to keep up appearances but none of the crippling issues seem to get fixed. And if you've not guessed already, the workplace culture is non existent at best and toxic at worst. In summary ,there far better places to work at and my advice is to stay as far away from this cluster grope as possible.

Thank you for taking the time to give your views. Nordcloud and IBM see strong collaboration, working with the largest organisations in the UK, as the most effective way to grow both businesses fast in the cloud market. This approach has proven successful in driving substantial growth so far. That said, Nordcloud still has its own customers and a direct to market channel. IBM have made commitments to Nordcloud that they see Nordcloud as their home for technical cloud talent and have asked us to continue to hire and grow in this area. Whilst the attrition in the UK remains low we have had to make some tough decisions with restructures and redundancies, moving focus from areas we have seen less demand, towards areas we see rapid growth in demand. We understand that this is an unfortunate part of the changes in the market. Redundancy is hard for all involved and will always be the last resort The culture that the Leadership Team have tried to foster at Nordcloud is one where the discussions are open - both with good news and on occasion bad. We are aware that the UK have tried to keep regular dialogue with all involved via regular weekly, monthly and quarterly all hands sessions, inviting feedback via comments and polls on direction etc. We would be grateful if you could provide more specific feedback or examples regarding your concerns. The good things about Nordcloud are that we are international, skilled colleagues, good market position

Cons

The start-up has been harder than I had expected, due to cleaning up in Salesforce, many customer cases that have to be handled and started again.
