Pros

The interviewers were great. And my hiring manager he is excellent. And currently providing WFH till the new building is completed in Bangalore and Gurgaon.

Cons

- They hired most of the ex-Byjus and ex-Paytm folks for my team. - These ex-Byjus folks treat non byjus folks as outsiders. - Even though the company is 100+ years old, after recent reformation, this team behaves more like a start-up. - Scrum calls (Micromanagement Calls) are being held with 70+ people. And even though I'm not reporting to this call owner or I don't work with him, I have to give update to him. - Sometimes he asks non byjus folks to resign and sometimes he persuades us to stay. This guy has worked in Yahoo, Flipkart, Swiggy and Byjus. You can search his LinkedIn. - The worst part is that, without having proper KT they have terminated the contracts of the vendors. These vendors have been working for a while with Nielsen. Result - utter chaos. - They also stereotype the folks outside India. - And they are planning to replace experienced folks with 1 - 2 yr experience folks. - And bonus they will fire all the non MTS (MTS designations are given to Byjus folks so that non MTS can be discriminated easily) in next 7-8 months from my team.

Pros

Absolutley nothing. Which is a tragedy, because Nielsen was once an absolutely great place to work. I wanted to retire here. The culture used to be great, and I really loved being a part of this place. I loved my team, my management, and the people. Then along came the current CEO who is the classic example of a person who knows the cost of everything, but the value of nothing. He took over and ran the company full speed ahead in to the iceberg. And to try and save the sinking ship, he laid off literally thousands of highly experienced, highly trained, and highly engaged people to replace them with fresh overseas hires who know nothing about the company and expect them to be trained from the ground up to replace literally centuries of collective expererience and client relations. It's a disaster. This CEO shouldn't be trusted to run a lemonade stand.

Cons

Everything. Pay, job security, culture, management. Nothing is good here anymore. Don't take a job here unless you are truly desperate. And even then, it should only be as a stop-gap until you can find something else.
