The people were so nice and supportive and helpful. If you go out and try to help, they will really give you advice and help you out with anything you need. This internship will be boring if you don't try, but if you do try and engage will all aspects of broadcast journalism, you will never have a dull moment.

No cons, I really loved this internship.

- Freedom to write what you want most of the time as a producer. - Develop your skills with professional software and tools. - Opportunities to grow your portfolio.

- Worst workplace environment I've ever experienced. Egos are very high all around, and it is a very toxic work environment. - Management does not take workplace bullying/harassment seriously. Even the Nexstar HR department doesn't care to investigate the behavior at these small stations. - Very low pay for the amount of work and hours you put in. - Constant schedule changes and not a lot of holidays off or good vacation time. - Not a lot of opportunities for web writers to go outside the station on reporter stories, unless you are "favored."
