Pros

No pros to add about this company.

Cons

New Forum pays WAY below the current market, the quarterly bonuses equal less than one paycheck with the 4 quarters combined. The company's idea of "rewarding" their employees is having food in the office (once in a while) and having a company event once a year on a Sunday, that takes time away from your weekend and family. The culture is terrible, very awkward and a depressing environment. The office is divided by men sitting on one side of the office and women sitting on the other side. The office is quiet all day long except when awkward conversations are made such as who says backpack vs bookbag. The leadership team does not respect any policies/procedures HR sets forth to the company. Not to mention the CEO designed a career path project within the company, which is an HR initiative, and didn't include the HR Generalist in the project but included employees that were not associated in an HR position (or other relevant position). Leadership also expects someone in every department to be in the office (with the exception of Fridays), yet the leadership team was often all out on the same time. Leadership shows favoritism by not holding some employees/managers to the same standards as others when policies aren't followed, core values are exemplified, and the disparities between pay structures without explanation or justification. Gender Discrimination is also recognizable at New Forum, the company operates as a "Good Old Boys Network". A majority of the candidates hired are because they know someone in the company and the only time a woman will have career growth is when she's a worker bee and doesn't question anything. Women are held at a higher standard than the men at the corporate office. The corporate office is composed of 75% men.

Pros

Benefits? There are not alot of pros.

Cons

Previous reviews mentioned many of the same issues, and in my experience not much has changed — if anything, some areas felt worse. The company often feels more like a school environment than a professional workplace. There is a consistent culture of gossiping about other employees, this was happening at a senior level as well, which does not align with the core values that are presented. Leadership communication and professionalism need improvement. During my time there were multiple situations where I felt disrespected without clear explanation or constructive feedback. The company would benefit from stronger HR presence and more structured leadership training. There is also a lack of clear organizational structure. The mindset of “everyone works on everything” sounds collaborative in theory, but in practice it created confusion around responsibilities. At times I felt underutilized and did not have clearly defined tasks, which made professional growth difficult. Hiring decisions sometimes appeared to prioritize personal familiarity or personality fit over industry experience, which I believe to be the reason for the disorganization. I would encourage prospective employees to ask detailed questions about management style, role expectations, and workplace culture to make sure it aligns with what they are looking for.
