Pros

- Some opportunities for rapid advancement if you align with the right people. - The work itself can be interesting for those who enjoy the technical challenges.

Cons

The company culture has drifted significantly from its professional roots. What should be a merit-based technology environment often feels more like a social club where personal connections matter more than performance. This has created an environment where professional boundaries are blurred, and which are affecting business decisions. Employees who focus on doing good work but don't participate in the social scene often find themselves overlooked for promotions and key projects. Meanwhile, those who play the politics seem to advance regardless of their actual contributions. This creates a frustrating double standard that demoralizes hardworking team members. Think carefully before joining. If you value a workplace where hard work and talent are rewarded fairly, this may not be the right fit. The environment can be challenging for those who simply want to do their job well without navigating complex politics. The leadership team either actively participates in this culture or chooses to ignore what's happening around them. Either way, they bear responsibility for the current state.

Thank you for taking the time to share this perspective. We recognize how discouraging it can feel when effort and contribution appear to be overshadowed by politics or personal connections, and we take these concerns seriously. Neuron7’s intent and expectation is to operate as a merit-based organization, where performance, impact, and professional conduct drive opportunity. At the same time, we understand that perception matters, and when employees feel overlooked or unheard, it is a clear signal that we need to examine how our processes are being experienced on the ground. As the company grows, we are actively working to bring more structure, clarity, and consistency across performance management, promotion decisions, and leadership accountability. This includes reinforcing objective criteria, improving transparency, and ensuring feedback is listened to and addressed constructively. In parallel, we have recently hired a Senior Director for Talent and Culture in Bengaluru, who is focused on strengthening people practices, improving consistency, and ensuring employees feel supported, heard, and treated with fairness and respect as we scale. We are also reviewing how people processes are governed to reduce bias and reinforce fairness. Creating an environment where good work is recognized without the need to navigate politics is important to us, and we acknowledge that there is work to be done esp. where trust has been impacted. Feedback like this helps us better understand where expectations and experiences may not yet be aligned. We remain committed to listening, improving, and fostering a professional culture rooted in integrity, fairness, and merit, one that continues to evolve as the organization grows.

Pros

• The product has potential when allowed to stand on its own merits. • Remote work flexibility.

Cons

As a current sales executive, it is clear that relationships are prioritized over process, discipline, and ethical boundaries. Under CEO Niken Patel, sales success is defined by who you know—not by value, execution, or professionalism. An observable pattern involves hiring senior individuals into sales roles for their prior affiliations with target customer organizations, with the expectation that these relationships will accelerate purchasing decisions. While framed as strategic efficiency, this approach places sales teams in ethically uncomfortable territory and blurs boundaries that many mature enterprise organizations deliberately maintain. Career growth is limited, as boot licking outweighs merit. Leadership behavior often feels reactive rather than strategic, and the business is run with a short-term, transactional mindset rather than as a scalable, enterprise-grade organization. Professionals who prioritize ethics, transparency, and value-driven sales will find this environment fundamentally misaligned and professionally damaging. Staying away is strongly advised.
