Pros
* Challenging work on important problems * Creative freedom to be a mad scientist * Fulfilling work with lots of incentive (if you want to help improve the lives of others) * Lots of project ownership
Cons
* Very demanding workload, which can make work-life balance difficult. Not inherently a bad thing if you want to dive into your work, but not for everyone * There could be more senior engineering guidance for more junior engineers. Trial by fire is great, but it would be great to bring in more experience from outside of the company to provide new insights.
