Pros
NET seems to do pretty well in terms of base salary. From a few of the data points I've gathered the salaries seem to be in the 75th percentile for a job title. The work atmosphere is generally quiet and low-stress, with very flexible hours. Some people work 11-8, others do 6-3. They seem to sponsor tons of visas. I would guess 80% or more of the engineering employees are foreign born.
Cons
In general the company portfolio is weak. The main cash-cow is a legacy product called Promina - an absolute nightmare to work with from an engineering standpoint. Revenue from Promina is decreasing every quarter as the product becomes obsolete. Other UC products are picking up speed, but more slowly than expected.
Management is interesting to say the least. There is a lot of unprofessional behavior, such as telling one employee about the personal details of another employee. Some managers publicly embarrass the employees, others bring their children to work and ask engineers to babysit. Companywide meetings sometimes include political opinions. HR does little to help these matters.
