Pros
When I first started working at Netspend, I felt I had a true purpose in what I was doing since there were a lot of outdated processes that I could use my experience to help make more efficient and to modernize. That didn't last long though - see Cons....
Cons
The leader that I so respected and admired, and really thought of as a mentor turned out to be a pathological liar with ulterior motives. I could not believe it when I realized a person at the Director level was so much more concerned about making other departments look bad than actually helping the company as a whole. I was praised for every aspect of my role until I started thinking independently and offering advise on how to improve interdepartmental relationships. The team that I became apart of would say they were open to doing things new ways, but the moment I offered any easier methods I was quickly shut down. It's really unfortunate as I came with over 15 years experience in my field and while working at Netspend had to revert back to ancient ways of working. So much gossip and lies were told, that one woman even threatened me until I no longer felt safe. TSYS now owns Netspend and they have no idea what is really going on at the Austin call center. I don't know if they ever will.
