Working for a startup always has unique challenges

Nice Interviewers, no real issues there.

First interview was okay, but was told they want to move forward and have me complete a take home assignment. I was surprised, but figured hey great! With experience in Product I put some good thought into a fairly straightforward assignment, but was sent a rejection email the next day. They say the team didn't care for my experience or my "approach" to the assignment. I can totally understand a company not moving forward with me/anyone. The experience overlap wasn't fully there. I thanked them for the opportunity and asked them for feedback on the approach/assignment piece. All I got were *crickets* Some response would have been nice given that I took 2 hours out of my evening to create a presentation. If I never made sense as a candidate (I can totally understand) then I never should have been sent the assignment. If you move forward with someone else and it's just a matter of timing, totally fine too, just respond to a candidate who takes the time. If the assignment just sucks, cool, just give me a sentence or two letting me know we're not on the same page. Thanks!
