Pros

-30% employee discount and double discount days (up to 60% off) -You're the first to pick through the merchandise when stuff goes on sale

Cons

-Bad scheduling (closing shifts consisted of waiting until customers left aka you could be stuck there until 8:30 or 8:45pm) -$11.50 an hour or $13 (if in cosmetics) $19/$20 (in shoes) -Sales vs draw commission (they fire you if you don't meet your sales goals which are outrageous since retail isn't the same ever since the internet took over) -outdated (think the 80's-early 90's) business model mentality -Turnover rate is HUGE; people come and go all the time and usually last no more than a year

Pros

* If you have an amazing team and management the day goes by fast. * Commission. * Easy to rely on foot traffic to meet goals. * If you ask for growth, they set thing ups that align with what you want, you just need to ask.

Cons

* If its slow, its SLOW. * There can be drama, it just depends on the department you're in.

Pros

Employee discount and free samples

Cons

A toxic environment where sales are almost zero because vendors are pulling their product off the shelf because their bills aren’t getting paid. They’re in the middle of coming out of a bankruptcy , if a client does come in, we usually don’t have the product to sell them ,only lines who are partially thriving is fragrance ! The hours are terrible. You get off work at nine and you’re expected to be back at 9:30 AM.
