Pros

- Perks as part of sainsburys

Cons

- The amount of people that have left on mental health grounds over the last 12 months is crazy - Super high churn rate hence why always advertising jobs - The business rewards mediocrity and promotes based on loyalty and likeability - The level of work you do does not matter if you work for the wrong manager - You'll get promoted based on how much you have sucked up to the right people creating a toxic environment of people pleasing - Pay isn't in line with London average

Pros

Good stepping stone to get you into the industry. Networking across the Sainsbury’s teams should you want to move over to Sainsbury’s. Good hybrid working balance

Cons

Management culture appears influenced by favouritism, with recognition and opportunities often linked more to visibility than performance. Senior leadership allows micromanagement to persist and does not always address bullying behaviours within teams. Expectations are consistently high, yet meaningful recognition is limited, with new priorities introduced frequently. This creates a strong “raise your profile” culture that pressures employees to overextend themselves, contributing to burnout, while resourcing and leadership support can feel insufficient. Declining additional work due to capacity constraints may be viewed negatively and can affect internal progression. Staff turnover is high.
