Pros

- Annual bonus paid of August 16th. - Work life balance. Rare to work overtime, unless you go on a work trip. - Very nice staff. The people at CFC are the best part of the job. Everyone is so nice, although its hard to make friends since the average person working there is a boomer. Either way, very welcoming to new hires. -It's basically impossible to get fired, so the job security is nice.

Cons

The company isn't designed with young people in mind. All the benefits are attractive to older people so they have a lot of turn over with millennials and gen z. - Not made for new parents. Only offer 3 weeks of parental leave, which is laughable. Then if you're a.birthing parent you can get 3 weeks of 70% of your salary through ST disability. The company then forces you to exhausted all your other forms of accrued leave during the 12 weeks of unpaid FMLA. Disappointing especially compared to other local companies who offer a minimum of 12 weeks fully paid. - The pension is a way to keep you at the company, but unless you devote your entire career to working there it is a disadvantage. 401k contribution is only 2% because of the pension. Gen Z doesn't want to work for one employer for there entire career, so it'll be hard for them to keep talent that is younger than 30. -The bonus is nice, but you'll never get the full pay out. It suppose to be 32% of your base salary buttttt the % is dependent on what your manager rates you in your annual performance review. The ratings are 1-4, with almost the entire company receiving a rating of a 2. Last year less than 10 people received a rating of a 4 (meaning the full % of the bonus), which is surprising given the company size is of approximately 300. If you're rated a 2, then your bonus is like 24% of your annual salary, which is still really nice. -Minimal pay increases. Negotiate your salary when you start, because its hard to increase it annually. There is NO negotiating your pay during your annual performance review, and you will only receive an annual pay increase of 4%. If you get promoted, you will receive a MAX increase of your base salary of 15%. NEGOTIATE WHEN YOU GET HIRED of your screwed during your entire career at CFC. -Anti remote work. IF your boss is flexible, they will allow you to work 2 days remotely, but the days are determined by your manager. All the boomers are pro working in the office and will look down on you if you work remotely.
