strong sense of purpose “Do good. Be good. Make good.” isn’t just a slogan; it shows up in how people treat each other and how decisions are made.
The culture feels supportive and people-focused, with a real emphasis on collaboration and doing the right thing for customers. I’ve also appreciated the opportunities to grow professionally and take on meaningful work that actually makes an impact.
Cons
Like any organization, there’s always room to improve, but overall NLG does a great job balancing business goals with a commitment to its employees and communities. It’s a place where you can feel proud of the work you’re doing.

We appreciate your comment about the great people at National Life! If you're unclear about details or need help prioritizing your work, please connect with your team leader. They should be able to help provide clarity.
Good pay, nice people to work with but as a consultant I feel a bit on the "outside".
Cons
Every single person that is an Executive Vice President is a man with the only woman being the CEO's Executive Assistant. Clearly you can see there is a distinct "known" here at this company.

We recognize that diversity has historically been an issue in our industry. However, if you look at our corporate board, we're actively working to diversify and will continue to make sure we consider all aspects. We will always focus on adding the most qualified talent to all of our roles across the entire organization. If you would like to connect further regarding this, I would welcome the opportunity to talk. - Michael Veilleux, Chief People Officer
