Pros
There is room for growth. I started in the call center claims department before being promoted to the RTA role. Pay is better than unemployment.
Cons
Low pay for dealing with outraged customers who want to lawyer with you about the terms of their agreement. The only thing you can say is Those are the terms of the contract. As if that will soften the blow of a $2k+ claim being denied. Even for someone as dumb as me, being a robot all day left me physically and mentally drained. Everyday I walked in my mood dropped and I hoped this was the day i cursed at a customer. Came close so many times. Being promoted didn't solve my issues. I received barely any increase in pay at all. On top of that, no OT in my new department. And my hourly reports had to have everything spelled out including the time the data was harvested from.
