Pros
I have been with NOW CFO for almost 3 years. I have gained SO much experience and made the best connections within the community because of my position at NOW CFO. The exposure to amazing companies, organizations and professional firms through events and networking is one of my favorite parts of my role. I have met many influential leaders (CEO's, Politicians, Actors, etc..) and been motivated through speakers regularly. I love that this role provides freedom and variety in my day to day! My day could (and has) look(ed) like meeting with the owner of a small manufacturing company in the morning, having lunch with a professional CPA firm, Law firm or banking team mid-day and then sitting down with a CFO of a large tech company in the afternoon. My day also has been sponsoring a golf tournament, conference or trade show. My role has given me an opportunity to lead and make decisions most Business Development Positions don't offer. I am involved in and a part of marketing, hiring, training, selling/ prospecting and team culture decisions. I HAVE a say in anything that happens with my team. The partner I work with/ NOW CFO as a whole believes in high rewards and recognition for effort and hard work. I have gone skiing, golfing, shooting and went to Mexico for 7 days with my spouse this last spring all on NOW CFO's dime! I have never felt under compensated or unrewarded for my efforts. Compensation discussions aren't difficult or awkward because NOW CFO wants their employees to feel valued and rewarded for their efforts. There are COMMISSION OPPORTUNITIES FOR EVERY EMPLOYEE!! I believe in the service and have seen it significantly improve and benefit our clients. There are many more positives than those stated, but these are my favorite.
Cons
NOW CFO is growing and currently making changes in different processes and procedures, therefore dealing with growing pains and changes is eminent and expected. The culture is very fast paced and requires strong organization. If you aren't a goer and doer that is organized, you will struggle with keeping up. Because of the model, you won't see your team daily. You will interact with your partner and different team members but you aren't sitting next to them working together everyday. Sometimes there are long days.
