Not a true bulge bracket, which shows in deal flow, brand recognition with clients, and exit opportunities compared to peers. Senior banker quality is inconsistent — some MDs are checked out or siloed. Culture can feel fragmented between the Japanese parent company and the Western business. Limited resources and support infrastructure compared to larger shops.
