Pros
The people that you work with are all generally great. There is a really positive environment of everyone helping everyone else out. Some of the partners are also like this, very willing to step in a help out doing "Assistant" work when things get tough.
Cons
The upper upper management feels severely out of touch with the employees of the company. I understand everything has obviously been crazy with the pandemic and many companies had to lay people off or force people to take pay cuts. We had one round of layoffs at the beginning and then we were told there would be no raises until 2021 (which there were). However, after receiving weekly emails from the head partner explaining how there would be cuts/no raises, there were also slews of emails celebrating new hires and about a dozen people were promoted to partner. We also consistently had emails talking about BLM protests, calling them "riots" and pretty much denouncing the whole movement, seriously, because the head partner wanted to be able to eat inside restaurants. On a more general level, there is an incredibly toxic culture of being expected to give 110% to every single client, every single second of every day. We are overworked, to say the least, and not at all compensated fairly. Our insurance is unbelievably expensive (outside of CA especially) and the PTO is just not sufficient.
