      Great kids, lovely organization - Middle School Teacher NJ LEEP Employee Review

      Pros

      I worked two Saturdays a month as a teacher for their middle school program. The organization is like a family, everyone who works there is so kind and welcoming. The kids are great--smart, dedicated, and truly happy to be there. And the mission of the organization, to prepare the kids of Newark for college and beyond, is not just noble, but actualized. I have friends who are alum of the program who have gone on to become leaders in their community.

      Cons

      I worked early in the development of the middle school program, so some of the kinks were still being worked out.

      Pros

      Smaller organization so you can get to work well with other employees and get to know people. Local organization that gets to work with target students to expand college access. The organization is also connected to many impressive companies which helps with networking.

      Cons

      It's only five to six weeks of summer work but it is a great experience overall that I would recomend.
