Pros

The people are mostly great. My department got along well and everyone is friendly. Flexible work hours

Cons

Under constant pressure. We are told that we matter but the pay does not reflect that. They do everything possible to not promote people but say that they encourage internal mobility.

Pros

You get a lot of leeway with your schedule in the study director group if you get your work down without complainants and are available when the lab needs you. WFH. Coworkers are alright, I've had a lot worse.

Cons

No actual bonus, but they include it in the "total compensation package" value and use to hold the possibility in front of you to pull as much work from you for as little pay as possible then pull it away at the last minute. Very stressful. Understaffed. Systemic issues that will likely never be fixed. Run by venture capitalist firm who is doing everything to squeeze every last cent from the company. Cutting cost is the priority now rather than good science. NAMSA used to do "good science" and now, it's just "science". It would be bad science if the employees didn't have integrity. The top leadership doesn't seem to understand the day-to-day activities and how their decisions affect the employees. Burnout is at an all time high.
