Pros

Corporate Services makes a lot of effort to ensure employees have a comfortable working environment. In addition, Nagico is community centred and is involved in a number of outreach projects, including participating in an annual race for kids with cancer. Thus they ensure their employees are well-rounded and happy which is overall the NAGICO way.

Cons

The only shortcoming from my experience at NAGICO were minor issues involving IT and PC system issues.

Pros

Young Leadership Team You don't need to wait 10 years to join the management ranks Perks are good, especially for management Wide Regional Spread, so you get to interact with people from various cultures throughout the Caribbean. Diverse work force.

Cons

NAGICO recently went through a transition, from feeling like a family to feeling like a corporate entity. Too many executives - at one point, there were 17 executives. Unfortunately, that led to people constantly trying to "pull rank" on each other. Some managers have a reputation of trying to sleep with their colleagues. Female employees may struggle in a few of the branches, as there have been cases where branch managers actively "proposition" some of their staff. Sadly, for some staff who turn down the advances of the managers, their jobs were adversely affected very soon after - contracts not renewed, hostile work environment. They take way too long to let go of bad bosses, choosing to reassign or convert them to "consultants" instead. If you have a gripe with a manager, and they are in cahoots with HR, not only is there a very low chance of not being dealt with, but that manager would retaliate against you for speaking out. Your best chance is "blowing a whistle" anonymously. There is no formal career development plan. If you do work above and beyond your job expectations, it is ignored. If you drop the ball, they will swiftly swoop down to punish you.
