Pros
On the technical side, Mujin is a company that is not afraid to ask the right set of questions! Every day, we get to take on challenging problems and come up with innovative solutions. What I liked about working in mujin: - the experience and professional growth that come from exposure to large (and sometimes unexpected) variations in real environment data - the value-driven approach to work that guides and accelerate growth - the great team with exceptionally talented members which I used to bounce ideas with - the kindness of everyone and the family atmosphere - the rewarding feedback and sense of accomplishment when I see first hand my work helping customers, and ultimately end users improve their life-style - the short CI/deployment cycle gives the sense that I’m making an impact on the world. Automating the world one line of code at a time - the degree of autonomy I have in my work. Not too small that restricts my creativity. Not too large that I feel lost or unproductive - the continuous learning and exposure to new products and technologies - the accessibility to large amount of data from large variety of environments that helped me develop, test and debug features - the cross-department collaboration. everyone is eager to help whenever they can - the exciting potential of mujin. I have never worked in a company scaling up as fast as mujin - the fun perks of working at mujin like: gaming zone, gym, group dinner, free launch in cafeteria, … etc. Unfortunately, I had to leave mujin due to stressing personal reasons
Cons
- I really wish I had more time to allocate to do more experiments, research deeper and fundamental solutions, explore more recent technologies and learn more from the massive data we have access to. But, I think this is normal for a company expanding as fast as mujin - living in japan can be difficult at times. Please make sure to reach out to GA if you need any help.
