Pros
Commiserating with coworkers. That’s it.
Cons
The core group of execs are arrogant and don’t give a shhh about employees. They hire and fire all the time, including other execs and long-standing employees. You could be working there for a month and out of nowhere be fired or you could be working here for years and out of nowhere get fired. In the year and a half that I was there we went through THIRTY FIVE employees who either quit or got fired. You are completely disposable here. The pay is horrendous. They talk a big game here, telling you if you work hard you’ll be rewarded. You won’t. You start at $36k regardless of experience and are lucky to make it to $40k with bonus pay. And your annual raise? Laughable! You’re lucky to get $1000 extra dollars. That breaks down to about $41 extra per pay period before taxes are taken from it. They expect way too much from you, especially for the little pay and crappy benefits they offer. They’ll give a leadership title to someone just to have a reason to dump everything on you. But forget about being paid for the extra title and work. We had a team lead with no mortgage experience that they made build out an entire training project that took over a year to create. She got paid less than her employees. Upon reviews, they try to make you believe you get paid wayyy more than your actual salary by telling you the amount of benefit premium they cover and your PTO that you WORK TO EARN equates to your pay actually being $20k more than you physically get paid. And forget about even using your sick time. You don’t get to rest. They expect you to work from home while you’re dying with Covid. If you are a hard worker, they will literally tell you anything you want to hear to keep you working, and then never follow through on their end. And forget about having enough time to get your work done. They have meetings on top of meetings on top of meetings. That whole saying “if it could’ve been email…” yeah, they need to follow suit. They’re disorganized, say they want your input so you think you actually matter (weekly Happiness Survey, anyone?) and then do whatever the hell they want regardless. The irony is they preach about the company goal is to be transparent, yet that is the farthest thing from what they are. They’ll start new, pointless processes, work them for 2 months, and then never mention them again but never tell you they stopped using them, so meanwhile you’re still wasting your time doing them. It’s just so much pointless BS. They joke that they’re a cult by repeatedly telling everyone “drink the kool aid from the fire hose,” but it’s actually a pretty accurate representation. And if you don’t conform…it was nice knowing ya! This place is a literal joke.
