Pros
Benefits, experience, working alone, some good people
Cons
I was here before (and after) the new management came in and changed everything. In the previous management system, they gave you a percentage of your bonus no matter how many rentals you got. Now you could get 15 or 150 and still make the same amount of commission. Mileage also used to be better. Granted, the old management also tried getting employees to take on additional responsibilities that they are not getting reimbursed for, and even downright dangerous (maintainece tasks and lock cuts, to name a few) unless you count gift cards. Which, by the way, management plays favorites and pays certain people higher amounts in gift cards than other people. They also blatantly advertise the same job positions with the same responsibilities as current managers, but the new people make more hourly and they refuse to bump the existing employees wages up. It's honestly quite puzzling, and frustrating. You would think they would want to retain their loyal employees by bumping their pay by a dollar or two an hour, but they'd rather wipe that slate clean and hire an entirely new person and pay them more. I think thats part of the reason for turnover. They also do not like it when employees talk about their wages, obviously so that no one sees how much they're losing hourly compared to new people. There's also a lot of drama here, strangely. It's storage units, not a food service or retail job. I don't understand why so many employees seem to dislike one another, even going as far as getting some people in trouble with higher management because that person simply doesn't like another person. It's a shame, because we thought the new management would be great, but it's honestly just turned for the worst. I hope the good people here can stay happy, because I certainly wasn't.
