Pros

The programs you get to work on are interesting and meaningful

Cons

I'm not sure why there are so many positive reviews for Moog. This company is the definition of a toxic work environment. The management is horrible and filled with extremely condescending, unhelpful, impersonable, and sexist individuals. The "unlimited" vacation policy is a joke. Moog does not value work-life balance. They will overload you with work and then give you a hard time about taking any time off. Additionally, they overwork and underpay their engineers SIGNIFICANTLY. I have been looking elsewhere, and it is evident that I am about 30k underpaid. They expect so much out of you, yet they do not pay you close to what you are worth. They also do not give nearly enough sick time. The best advice I have for whoever is reading this is to find a company that actually values you and appreciates you because Moog definitely does not!

Thank you for your review. It is unfortunate to hear that are having a negative experience working at Moog. While we couldn’t agree more that the work we do is interesting and meaningful, we would like to address what you mention in the Cons field. What you describe is not what we strive for. Leaders and managers that encourage and support our employees are key to keeping our Moog culture strong. The behaviors you describe are inconsistent with our values. Our Flexible Planned Vacation policy is designed to encourage work-life balance, not discourage it. Under this plan, everyone has the flexibility to take as many days off as they need, with manager approval, while fulfilling work obligations. Our open-door policy also encourages you to speak with anyone in management regarding your employment at Moog. We are deeply committed to creating an environment where our employees feel appreciated and empowered to do their best work, and it is unfortunate that your experience is not aligning with our values. Please contact your manager or HR representative and provide additional supporting information, so we can further investigate to resolve these matters.

Pros

You are surrounded by excellent colleagues across all departments, with the exception of Government Property.

Cons

The Government Property team suffers from severe leadership deficiencies and a toxic work culture. The Senior Manager has a well-documented history of high turnover, carrying a reputation from her previous role where team members actively sought transfers. Under this leadership, promotions are actively discouraged through targeted hostility and fabricated performance issues. Because the management team lacks foundational people skills and prior leadership experience, employee retention is critically low. While other departments within the organization offer great opportunities for growth, transferring into or staying within Government Property is highly discouraged.
