Pros

The property itself and the views of the river are very nice. They take food quality seriously and for the most part the service provided by staff is excellent. Each department gets along pretty well between themselves although department to department there can be some issues. Free meals and leftover banquet food is a nice perk and can save you money. The head Maitre D and his banquet staff are top notch.

Cons

How do you not have full outside casual dining? To avoid noise issues you just end service at 8 PM in the summer - not rocket science. The upper level managers are a disaster and inept with the exception of Housekeeping and the Maitre D/his staff. This is a family run business at its worst. The President has a lot of personal issues that he takes out on his subordinates. This place will get back in shape when him and his baggage are gone and his son takes over. There is a lack of accountability across the board because the focus of the business is on "frou-frou" instead of operations. Instead of being productive and focusing on real change - head level managers just kiss up to the President to avoid his wrath. Turn-over in this industry in general is high but at this place it's like a revolving door. Don't bother offering up any suggestions for change - they will not never be addressed by this regime.
