Pros

- Great culture and benefits, you truly feel valued as both an employee and a person - Work/life balance is wonderful, I don't feel pressured to do more than I'm able to get done or respond to people after hours - Super friendly and welcoming coworkers, everyone is a team player and looks to support others

Cons

Honestly, none. This has been a great place to work since day 1. In the 3 years that I've been here there has been incredibly low turnover, indicating that folks are truly happy to be here.

Pros

- I think the way information and work is organized and communicated would work well in an office too, but it is so clearly and thoughtfully set up for 100% remote work. From the way policies and work plans are documented in Notion, to the way we use Slack so efficiently, to the limiting of unnecessary meetings, the day to day is so calm and humane. - Accountability and ownership is really clear. Every team member sets quarterly initiatives that contribute to our overall goals, and as ad hoc opportunities come up, there’s never a vague sense of shared ownership. - Mockingbird really values thoughtful, thorough communication. We use a lot of asynchronous communication channels, but the norm is to take your time to leave complete, well-thought out feedback. - Everybody is just so genuinely kind and fun to work with. We really care about our customers, the product, each other, and doing excellent work.

Cons

Honestly, none. In my first few months I kept waiting for the shine to wear off. But this company is legit!

Pros

Mockingbird is truly unlike any place I've worked mainly because: - This is the most non-toxic work environment I've ever worked in. And not in a way that's almost too positive or fake, more so an abundance of respect and kindness for each other and what we do for the larger company - Transparency here is unlike anything I've experienced. Leadership shares all kinds of internal information that paints a bigger picture of the company for our larger team to understand, but in a way that makes sense, actually answers questions and doesn't feel fluffed - Trust is also huge here which isn't something I've experienced in many places. From the second I was hired and through my onboarding, I could tell there was immense trust amongst the team that we are all trusted to do our jobs and do them well. I don't get micromanaged and my boss doesn't get micromanaged either. There's very little red tape and we don't hit really any major bottle necks because of it. We're also empowered to bring forward larger ideas and are actually supported to see them through -Work life balance is fantastic here because of the above points. I'm trusted to do my work and get it done on my own time, so whenever I need to step out for appts or take time off it's never an issue as long as I make sure things are covered/handled on my end -The company does a really great job at making us feel connected while being remote. They're very thoughtful in creating non-work meetings where we connect within our smaller teams but also with people who we don't get a chance to connect with on a regular basis through fun social connects that aren't work related. It's not an easy thing to achieve, but Mockingbird truly makes it look easy and they're also really fun! - No time wasted and thorough communication! My calendar isn't bogged down with unnecessary meetings and leadership doesn't hesitate to cancel larger team meetings if agenda items don't warrant it. I have yet to have a "this meeting could have been an email" moment. This company is also so efficient in how they use Slack which in the past for me has been a void of lost messages and so many side slacks Additional pros that are worth calling out: - Unlimited PTO - Fully remote with an annual retreat to all get together in person for a few days - For a smaller company, we have really great benefits like decent health insurance, quarterly health stipends, annual WFH stipends to set up our working spaces and more

Cons

I genuinely don't have any cons but one that comes to mind for others is the remoteness of the company. While I wanted a fully remote job and think this company does so well in this environment, I could imagine for some people they may be looking for something in person a few days a week.
